Care, concern, and control do not equal competence. When the responsibility of caring for someone or performing an important task for which we are ill equipped falls within our sphere of control, we as leaders have the responsibility of humbly seeking help and guidance. Otherwise, we hinder our personal growth, and more importantly, we may actually harm those for whom we care.
